FAQ

How do I become an Artists in Residence?
The application process for The Studios on Georgia is designed to ensure a great fit for both the artist and the existing community. Here’s what you can typically expect:
  1. Initial Inquiry: Interested artists reach out to express their interest in a studio space. This is usually done via email, social media, or through a contact form if available.
  2. Information Exchange: You’ll receive details about available studios, lease terms, amenities, and expectations for community participation.
  3. Studio Tour: Prospective artists are invited to tour the studios, see the available spaces, and get a feel for the environment and community.
  4. Artist Introduction: You may be asked to share samples of your work, a brief artist bio, and your reasons for wanting to join The Studios on Georgia. This helps ensure your goals and working style align with the community.
  5. Community Fit Conversation: Since maintaining a positive, collaborative atmosphere is important, there’s often a casual conversation with the owner or current artists to discuss fit, expectations, and any questions you might have.
  6. Lease Offer: If it’s a good match, you’ll receive a lease agreement outlining all terms, amenities, and community guidelines.
  7. Move-In & Orientation: Once the lease is signed, you’ll get access to your studio and a quick orientation on shared spaces, community events, and any building procedures.
The process is supportive and welcoming, with a focus on building a creative, respectful, and drama-free community.

Studio rent is based on square footage and amenities and ranges from $3 to $5 per square foot. Please email vagabond94590@gmail.com to discuss your specific needs.
